Deletes the element at the specified index, returning that element, or nil if the index is out of range.

a = ["ant", "bat", "cat", "dog"]
a.delete_at(2)    #=> "cat"
a                 #=> ["ant", "bat", "dog"]
a.delete_at(99)   #=> nil
